Indigo was happy to work with EET on Spring Cleaning their site. With a large focus on catering and special events, a site that is light, playful and user friendly while simple to place large orders from was the main idea for the layout.

Indigo provided EET with a no-nonsense navigation menu featuring: Daily Specials hosting the restaurants freshly made in house menu of Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Pasta and the Market Menu choice of the day.

Catering Menus allowing various organizations throughout the building to lightning order without mistakes or hassles pinpointing the price range, meal -time, and combo preference in one glance.

Private Event contacts are facilitated as clearly as everything else on the site using dynamic forms while all content and menu items are easily updated and managed by way of the CMS.

Indigo additionally incorporated the EET blog via RSS feed introducing EET news, favorites and the infamous gang behind the EET barista!
The ultimate goal was to create a branding which visually bonded the company’s deep roots in science and technology with sustainability, simplicity and beauty.

Starting off, Indigo created a logo based on the clear simple geometric forms of the double helix and the leaf form from the berry plant that is a staple ingredient of the product. The fusion resulted in a clean, clear branding mark signifying elegance and simplicity in nature and technology.

Indigo provided and managed the photography, to support the company’s clean crisp and organic essence. High quality digital images were selected and collected in continuing with the remaining visual directives.

Moving forward, Indigo created and managed the packaging for the brand, embracing natural, clean, simple materials and 100% recycled paper for all labels and boxes, and leaflets.

Following the product packaging, Indigo then created an online presence for Renewable Beauty in designing and developing a site fully managed by a CMS allowing easy updates, and edits to product.

Additionally, in order to enable Renewable Beauty to easily create, send, manage and gather feedback on email blasts and product promotions; Indigo designed and setup a newsletter template encompassing the new branding, hosted on Indigo Campaign.

All in all, renewable beauty is now fully realized, launched and entirely equip to manage, inform and embed their methodology of technology meeting nature and sustainable packaging and cosmetics amongst the market.

By using basic, fundamental shapes our new butterfly is ready to represent Indigo’s continuing statement toward simple, powerful design.

Take a look at how it was created below:

Step 1

1.) After sketching out the basic layout,
we chose an overall shape to generate all the parts of the logo.

Step 2

2.) Starting with Basic circles and gradients of the Indigo color
scheme and branding are laid out.

Step 3

3.) The circles then meet to overlap and produce another shape and shade where they meet.

Step 4

4.) The wings are a result of the overlap between the circles.

Step 5

5.) The wings are multiplied in different shades of the Indigo color scheme to
suggest top and bottom wings.

Step 6

6.) Layering the gradients in this case serves both purposes of animating
the logo, making the butterfly appear as if it were flying.

Step 7

7.) Once the wings were in place the body was pieced together using lines and shapes generated from the wing shape. The body uses the dot of the “i” of the typeface used in the branding.

Step 8

8.) The new logo is to be placed with the original selected branding typeface Chalet 1970.

Step 9

9.) The new logo is positioned to continue to dot the Indigo “I” from here until the next logo update.

Previous Logo

10.) Farewell old logo! Its been fun!

Indigo was assigned create a site for Jean-Baptiste allowing the photos to communicate their content to clients autonomously, without extraneous distraction. The importance was placed on allowing each image to be viewed separately as a work of art.

After five years, due to changing technology i.e.smartphones, Ipads etc., Degez’s site required optimization in order to remain consistent and accessible with ever advancing communications. The site which was once entirely flash is now entirely HTML and CSS styled.

In Jean-Baptiste’s case, managing his images is equally essential as their display. Performing constant updates, filtering and grouping work by date, theme, subject, etc. makes up a considerable portion of Degez’s site relationship.

We replaced the former CMS developed in flash which had allowed Jean-Baptiste to access and manage his galleries independently, with WordPress, our choice CMS.

Baptiste can now achieve the same functionality and manageability of his former site while remaining superbly in sync with the technology of his clients and the contemporary public.

Jean-Baptiste Degez is an award-winning, Paris-based photographer based in paris famous city of light .whose clientele in the advertising and luxury brand arenas includes Nike, Air France and BMW.

During college years, any and all things made simple are abundantly appreciated by parents and students alike.

Dormzy offers an innovative solution to marketplace accessibility from college campuses. Student (and parents) are able to easily order from vast assortments of college necessities and Indigo has provided a dynamic uncluttered storefront solution.

“We want our customers to get their products fast and less expensive than they would get them at the local campus convenience store. We want to highlight the ease of using our site and letting them understand the concept as soon as they visit.”

-Chris Sammons

Dormy chose to use Big Commerce’s simplified E-commerce approach and can now receive consistent sales feedback allowing them to update and review product success. Indigo worked directly with Dormzy to achieve the look and feel of their company goals highlighting convenience, ease and speed throughout the site.

The Dormzy site design allows for simplified user interface leaving plenty of room for the company’s marketing intents and overall message to become obvious to visitors.

Big Commerce has selected the Indigo Design + Dormzy site as one of the example stores that “strut their stuff” demonstrating how powerful front end design can really make an impact. take a look here .

From school supplies to snacks to post-party cleaning products; Dormzy has the simplified solution and now the dynamically designed storefront for all those who sleep where they eat.

The primary goal of the site design was to promote the luxury brand online, convey the “First Kiss” philosophy of the brand and to implement an e-commerce platform to sell the products. This process started with brainstorming sessions with the client to fully	understand their design and functionality requirements and study their existing product and package design. The result was design templates that allowed for a hybrid site that could support elements of Flash (for movement and music) as well as XHTML/CSS (for ease of front end & back end use of the e-commerce and CMS platforms). In completing the conceptual design process, the overall architecture/structure was defined through a site map and wireframes.

Development

After the conceptual design phase, Indigo Design entered into the development phase of the project. The site templates were developed to work on their own as free-standing pages and to also be implemented into the e-commerce and CMS platforms that were ultimately chosen. The result provided a seamless front-end user experience between the normal site pages and the product pages, as well as a robust, yet user-friendly back end to manage the e-commerce and content elements.

Result

The Kissable Couture collection and Web site launched with rave reviews and has been featured glowingly in publications ranging from Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar to Essence Magazine. Site traffic and sales have been escalading rapidly, and new features like streaming video are being added regularly to enhance the user experience. We look forward to the continued success of the Kissable Couture team as they make their mark in the cosmetics industry.

-Laurent Tourondel, BLT Restaurant Group

Overview

When Chef Propritaire Laurent Tourondel was honing his new restaurant concept in New York City, he approached Indigo Design for assistance with everything from branding and logo consulting and design to Web and print design. Tourondel, the talent behind the critically acclaimed Cello Restaurant in Manhattan, wanted to present his adaptation of the American Steakhouse, elevating it with his signature style and all-around finesse. The result was the Modern American Steakhouse: BLT Steak.

© Photography by Quentin Bacon

Logo & Print Design

Taking into account the long-term vision of Tourondel’s BLT concepts, the “BLT” segment of the logo design had to be ready for alternative restaurant concepts. Through a series of brainstorm sessions and artistic mockups, Indigo Design considered logo/font treatments that could be applied to a wide variety of colors, media, etc. that would represent his restaurant & hospitality endeavors. This logo concept was then applied to the various collateral and promotional and marketing pieces.

© Photography by Quentin Bacon

Web Design

With the branding and photography completed, the main Web design objective involved translating the look, feel and experience of the physical restaurant and food. This included concentrating on powerful imagery while displaying limited text to convey the visceral elements of the BLT experience. This strategy was used to bring out the casual atmosphere yet sophistication of the establishment and cuisine.

Development

With the design component completed, Indigo Design investigated the various technologies to utilize in the site build. The compact, self-contained element discovered in the design phase, mixed with the client requirement of background music allowed for the use of Flash as the primary technology. Understanding the need for quick site loading and easy content management, Indigo developed to site to maximize speed and ease of use.

© Photography by Quentin Bacon

Result

Based on the overall success of BLT Steak, Indigo Design has continued to work with Tourondel and his BLT Restaurant group on his myriad follow up restaurants. These include: BLT Fish, BLT Prime, BLT Burger, BLT Fish Shack, and BLT Market (with partner The Ritz-Carlton Hotel). As BLT Steak (now 7 locations) continues to expand nationwide, we look forward to helping Tourondel and his team conquer the restaurant industry.

Indigo Design has created a distinctive, energy-infused site for the Meatpacking’s Red Market salon. The overall atmosphere and experience of the salon is presented throughout the site and the information is clearly and concisely navigable. The website conveys the logic and objectives of the salon in a most creative way.

Overview

Created by David Cotteblanche and Reynald Ricard, Red Market offers an exclusive salon experience unlike any other. The constantly changing environment features art exhibits, music by a line-up of local DJs, one-of-a-kind denim robes by designer Denis Henaud, and Wi-Fi internet access.

David and Reynald have been friends since 1992 the two found themselves in NYC, working for Frederic FEKKAI. While working for Frederique Fekkai, David and Reynald took on clients in the evening, after work, at David’s studio apartment. Right away, they saw a real market for late night clientele. In September of 2004, they grabbed the opportunity to rent a small studio loft in on Little West 12th, in the heart of the growing Meat Packing District it generated a lot of attention for the duo, and a few months later Red Market Salon opened in its current location on 32 Gansevoort Street on June 21, 2005.

Logo & Print Design

With the title “Red Market” in mind, due to the salon’s location in the now bustling nightlife scene of what was once the area of the city known for meatpacking. We embraced these concepts of the color red of the old district, the Meatpacking district’s current nightlife fame, and the late, late hour. We used these key concepts throughout not only the website but the print design as well. The advertising events, schedules and stylist-client notes we were sure to reflect the strong concepts existing in the website, that are the foundation to the salon’s singularity.

The salon also required flexibility within the products section to allow for the ability to constantly update products based on availability and product client relationships.

Web Design

The primary goal of the site design was to communicate the unique day and night aspect of the salon, conveying its upbeat contemporary atmosphere and illustrating the professional, creative hairstyle concepts that are developed there on a regular basis. What transpired were two modes for the site with different background rhythms and themes; the day version, bright with calm lounge beats and the night version, dark with a more upbeat trance reflecting the vibe of Meatpacking nightlife.

Development

After recognizing and completing the design objectives, Indigo Design then determined which technologies could achieve the objectives most effectively. Due to the need for music and movement over a clear navigation outlined in the design phase, Flash was used as the primary technology. Identifying the diverse clientele and variant technology skills and patience levels, the need for quick site loading and easy content management was identified as crucial to the success of the site. Indigo provided a site that delivers information to clients quickly, clearly and easily.

Result

Evaluating from the mass press and media attention as well as the indisputable clientele growth the salon has received, the overall success of Red Market is clear. Indigo Design continues to work with Red Market updating the website and providing them with further logo and print designs.
