<p>The Golden Pheasant Inn approached Indigo with the problem of a site 15 years outdated and a need for an updated logo that would speak to the elegance and simplicity of the Restaurant/Inn and its&#8217; philosophy.</p>

<p>Indigo worked with Golden Pheasant Inn to develop a site design reflecting the attributes and atmosphere of the Inn and its&#8217; charming location. Indigo also equipped the Golden Pheasant Inn with with a CMS that fully accommodates and organizes news events, menu changes, and promotions for the Restaurant/Inn. Golden Pheasant Inn affiliates can take full advantage the ease in updating all site content completely independently.  Indigo has created a temporary splash page on the Golden Pheasant Inn&#8217;s website location to offer information and manage bookings and reservations until the full site launch January 2012. <a href="http://www.goldenpheasant.com/">http://www.goldenpheasant.com/</a></p>
<p>Indigo outfitted the Golden Pheasant Inn with a contemporary, simplified logo, emulating the distinguished intimacy and poise of the Inn. The color palette and silhouette are dignified while still very much approachable and inviting.</p>

<p><em>Cannelle Pastisserie</em> approached Indigo Design with a site that did not reflect the Pastisserie’s recent success within the New York City pastry scene.</p>
<p>Indigo refurbished the old site with a online destination reflecting the artistry and care given to each creation.</p>
<p>The navigation supports the two types of customers that any bakery attracts: the browsers and the decided. The browsers can visit the “gallery” and view all available pasteries as a collection, while those who know exactly what they want can go straight to “our selections” and view by category.</p>

<p>Indigo also provided <em>Cannelle Pastisserie</em> with contact form functionality which has proven to be one of the most active and beneficial aspects to the company.</p>
<p>Special cakes, thank yous, employment request, and most importantly;first connections are all facilitated by this tool. The contact form allows<em> Cannelle Pastisserie </em>to filter and organize all incoming correspondence.</p>
<p>Outgoing correspondence is handled through the site’s Content Management System. <em>Cannelle Pastisserie </em>representatives are able to post recent news and pastry selections so the site is always up to date and up to season.</p>
<p>Additionally, Canelle is able to post thier growing success and continually market thier progress.</p>

<p>Set to open in September 2010, The Tea Set &#8211; New York will be prominently positioned in one in the most exclusive areas on New York City, which many celebrities call home.</p>
<p>Indigo was sure to present The Tea Set&#8217;s e-commerce site with just as much care as their teas are packaged, prepared and presented.</p>

<p>Thanks to our recent location Indigo is now exaposed to some of New York City&#8217;s top photographers on a daily basis.</p>
<p>The Tea Set had the pleasure of working with the young and talented photographer Evan Miller who has provided the images for the signature colorful tin containers and packaging for displayed throughout the site.</p>
<p>Provided with clean eye-catching photography Indigo was able to create a turn key site with e-commerce functionality reflecting The Tea Set branding model of clean, simple and organic using the <a href="http://www.bigcommerce.com/" target="_blank">Big Commerce</a>.</p>

Canary is a branding studio responsible for the visual strategies and branding concepts for all of Lifework&#8217;s restaurants. <p>Food, new places and a dedicated chef with serious talent; the things we all love.  Australian born chef Shawn Hergatt  contacted us to design the website for his new restaurant in the Setai Residence lower Manhattan. We had met a few months ago to discuss the initial concepts for his future restaurant venture.  Hergatt is not only a impressive chef, but a well aware entrepreneur. Hergatt had a concise vision for the restaurant&#8217;s branding structure, but needed Indigo to communicate his vision on the world wide web.</p>

Florent and Amelia enjoy integrating extremes: urban and rustic, simple and sophisticated, modern and traditional.  Guests find the atmosphere of the restaurant to have a classically matured, authentic aesthetic while remaining contemporary and fresh. <em>Marche</em> <em>Moderne&#8217;s</em> menu is in tandem with the outlined theme and aesthetics of the restaurant offering classic bistro dishes, notably, artisan-made cheese and charcuterie plates, along with moules frites, cold foie gras torchon and oysters du jour.  These traditional plates are creatively infused with modern techniques, recipes and contemporary presentation.</p>

In creating a website for <em>Marche Modern,</em> Indigo realized the unique balance between contemporary, clean and traditional, cultivated elements the restaurant has achieved.  The goals for the site included, displaying as much of the visually stimulating dishesÂ <em>Marche Modern</em> offers while providing clients with an accessible destination to look up information and attain a glimpse of the restaurant&#8217;s unique atmosphere.   <em>Flash</em> was incorporated throughout the site to expose the characteristic layers of the establishment, from the personnel to the customers, the food and the interior.   Meanwhile the site&#8217;s <em>Content Management System</em> enables March Modern to update events and menu options.<br />

<h3>Overview</h3>
<p style="line-height: 25px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0.5em; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">When Chef Propritaire Laurent Tourondel was honing his new restaurant concept in New York City, he approached <em>Indigo Design </em>for assistance with everything from branding and logo consulting and design to Web and print design. Tourondel, the talent behind the critically acclaimed Cello Restaurant in Manhattan, wanted to present his adaptation of the American Steakhouse, elevating it with his signature style and all-around finesse. The result was the Modern American Steakhouse: BLT Steak.</p>

<h3>Logo &amp; Print Design</h3>
<p style="line-height: 25px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0.5em; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">Taking into account the long-term vision of Tourondel&#8217;s BLT concepts, the &#8220;BLT&#8221; segment of the logo design had to be ready for alternative restaurant concepts. Through a series of brainstorm sessions and artistic mockups, <em>Indigo Design</em> considered logo/font treatments that could be applied to a wide variety of colors, media, etc. that would represent his restaurant &amp; hospitality endeavors. This logo concept was then applied to the various collateral and promotional and marketing pieces.</p>

<h3>Web Design</h3>
<p style="line-height: 25px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0.5em; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">With the branding and photography completed, the main Web design objective involved translating the look, feel and experience of the physical restaurant and food. This included concentrating on powerful imagery while displaying limited text to convey the visceral elements of the BLT experience. This strategy was used to bring out the casual atmosphere yet sophistication of the establishment and cuisine.</p>
<h3>Development</h3>
<p style="line-height: 25px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0.5em; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px;">With the design component completed, <em>Indigo Design</em> investigated the various technologies to utilize in the site build. The compact, self-contained element discovered in the design phase, mixed with the client requirement of background music allowed for the use of Flash as the primary technology. Understanding the need for quick site loading and easy content management, Indigo developed to site to maximize speed and ease of use.</p>

These include: BLT Fish, BLT Prime, BLT Burger, BLT Fish Shack, and BLT Market (with partner The Ritz-Carlton Hotel). As BLT Steak (now 7 locations) continues to expand nationwide, we look forward to helping Tourondel and his team conquer the restaurant industry.<br />
